Installation guide

Install your travel eSIM safely, keep your regular number, and connect when you arrive.

Before you install

  • Confirm that your phone supports eSIM and is not locked to your home carrier.
  • Connect to reliable Wi-Fi and charge the phone.
  • Open My eSIMs in your account. Keep the QR code and activation details private.
  • Check the plan's activation policy. Most travel plans should be installed before departure but switched on for data only when you reach a covered destination.

Install on iPhone

  1. Open Settings, then Cellular or Mobile Data.
  2. Tap Add eSIM or Add Cellular Plan.
  3. Choose Use QR Code and scan the code displayed in your private account. On supported iOS versions, you may also press and hold a QR code shown in Mail or Safari and choose Add eSIM.
  4. If scanning is unavailable, choose Enter Details Manually and copy the SM-DP+ address and activation code exactly.
  5. Label the new line Travel. Keep your usual SIM as the default voice and messaging line.

Install on Samsung Galaxy

  1. Open Settings, Connections, then SIM manager.
  2. Tap Add eSIM, then Scan QR code.
  3. Complete the download and label the line Travel.
  4. Leave the travel line off for mobile data until you are ready to use the plan, unless its activation instructions say otherwise.

Install on Google Pixel and other Android phones

  1. Open Settings, Network & internet, then SIMs.
  2. Tap Add SIM and choose Set up an eSIM or Download a SIM instead.
  3. Scan the QR code or enter the activation information manually when the phone offers that option.
  4. Menu names vary by manufacturer. Look for SIM manager, Mobile network, Connections, or Add eSIM.

Connect when you arrive

  1. Turn on the travel eSIM.
  2. Select it as the phone's mobile-data line.
  3. Enable Data Roaming for the travel eSIM. This is normally required because the plan connects through partner networks.
  4. Keep network selection on Automatic. Wait several minutes, then toggle airplane mode once if the phone does not connect.

Avoid charges on your regular SIM

Turn off data roaming for your home SIM and disable cellular-data switching. You can usually keep the home line active for calls and messages, but your home carrier may still charge for calls, voicemail, or SMS abroad.

Important: do not delete the eSIM

Many activation codes can be installed only once. If setup or connectivity fails, leave the eSIM installed and follow the troubleshooting guide or contact support from your account.
